"We need to do more."
Last year 27 high school seniors (all children of Apple members or members themselves) received $2,000 scholarships through the Apple Scholars program. Many more of the 240 applicants were qualified: they had need and aspirations, were successful in school and active in their community. One of the nine Apple community members who participated on the selection committee expressed the sentiments of many: "We need to do more."
